Jewelry Artists Opportunity

Hello Arizona Artists,

The MAC Store Artists Cooperative Gallery is holding an Open Jury Call
for all Fine Art Jewelry Artists.  We have a wonderful collection of
jewelry artists that includes a variety of mediums and techniques.
The Steering Committee is seeking to round out the collection by
adding additional Fine Art Jewelry Artists that work specifically with
precious metals and possibly precious or semi precious gems.  As the
Jury Committee is looking for collections that will enhance our
current works it may take a while to find the right mix of artists.
Due to this, the Steering Committee has agreed to make this Jury Call
for Fine Art Jewelry Artists open ended.  We will continue to receive
applications from those that are interested until the jewelry spaces
have been filled.

HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT THE MAC STORE ARTISTS COOPERATIVE:
* Artists Earn 70% commission
* Artists Commission Checks scheduled and written monthly by the 15th.
* Artists live in Arizona.
* Artists are invited to participate in the cooperative through a
jury process.
* Artists provide art demonstrations/education about their
creative process while staffing The MAC Store – Artists Cooperative
Gallery (open weekly – Tuesday through Sunday).
* Artists support the arts training program at Mesa Arts Center
through a portion of the proceeds of their artwork selling at The MAC
Store – Artists Cooperative Gallery. (This is from the remaining 30%,
not the artists 70% commission.)

JURY CRITERIA:  The Jury Committee uses the following criteria when
evaluating artist submissions to become exhibiting artists in The MAC
Store Artists Cooperative
* Quality – construction, use of materials, finish
* Originality – unique and personal vision
* Marketability – price, sales niche
* Consistency – all pieces of equal quality
* Other criteria as deemed appropriate

The Steering Committee is looking forward to meeting and working with
artists interested in participating in The MAC Store Artists
Cooperative.  It is an exciting opportunity to sell your artwork while
supporting the training of artists through the Foundation and Mesa
Arts Center.

Please share this information with other Arizona artists you think
might be interested and have them provide their email and contact
information so that we can share our information with them.
