Summer 2010 at ArrowmontThis class is a go! Introduction to Painting EnamelAugust 15- 21Intermediate- Advanced Explore painting enamels and ceramic pigments as an image making media and embellishment for enamel colors and scenes on a small jewelry scale. Add that little extra bit of depth, detail or realism to your images. Painting enamel is traditionally used over a white ground but can be used to lend sublte effects to colored enamels at a level of detail that traditional 80-mesh enamel can't provide. Basic enamling principles: opaque vs. transparent, metal and enamel preparation, sifting, preparing ground, etc., will also be covererd.
